Annual events in San Antonio are too many to name if you include the yearly happenings across the city at each organization or club. The events listed here are widely known and are recognized easily across the state and region. We'll add more annual San Antonio events as we experience them. San Antonio Annual Events

Fiesta - Ten day party in San Antonio with parades, carnivals, food and fun. The entire city comes out to play during this monumental party.

San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo - PRCA rodeo featuring the toughest bulls, broncs and steers that pro rodeo has to offer. Carnival, rides and music keep families entertained on the grounds during this annual cowboy blowout.

Alamo Bowl - College football NCAA bowl game in the San Antonio Alamodome featuring football teams from the Big 12 and the Big 10.

Texas Open - PGA golf tournament held at the Westin La Cantera golf course.

Martin Luther King Day - San Antonio salutes this great civil rights leader with the largest Martin Luther King day parade in America.

Texas Folklife Festival - A Fiesta style event at the Institute of Texan Cultures celebrating the cultural heritage of Texas with food, dancing, arts and crafts held annually in June.

Tejano Conjunto Music Festival - Music festival held in May each year featuring the finest Conjunto music and the best mexican food in San Antonio. Mexican guitar + German accordion (squeeze box) = Conjunto music

Wurstfest - Ten day German party celebrating sausage in New Braunfels held yearly in November. Definitely the biggest party in Comal county with plenty to eat and drink.

Airshows - Yearly shows of air power, planes, helicopters and flybys. Varying in aerial displays, two San Antonio Air Force bases host large scale airshows yearly alternating locations between Lackland AFB and Randolph AFB.

St. Patrick's Day on the Riverwalk - Enjoy this Irish holiday in downtown San Antonio with green beer on the riverwalk alongside the green river. Every year on St. Patrick's day, the San Antonio River is dyed green.

Cinco De Mayo - Always a big San Antonio event held every year on the 5th of May in Market Square. Cinco De Mayo is Spanish for "fifth of May" and is a celebration of the Mexican Army's defeat of the French on May 5, 1861.
